Not Medical Advice: Orca Baby is designed solely for personal logging, schedule tracking, and informational convenience. The application, its algorithmically generated estimates, nap/wake windows, bedtime suggestions, feeding reminders, and growth percentiles DO NOT constitute pediatric medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical care. Use of this application does not create a doctor-patient, healthcare provider, or pediatric consultation relationship.
Observe Baby's Real-Time Cues: Every infant is unique with varying developmental and nutritional needs. Wake windows and suggested nap times are statistical reference estimates. Always follow your baby's physical cues (such as yawning, eye-rubbing, fussiness, or hunger signs) rather than rigid app timers. Never force an infant to sleep or feed based on an app suggestion.
Safe Sleep Standards: Always adhere to established pediatric safe infant sleep guidelines (e.g. American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations: baby on their back, on a firm, flat, standalone sleep surface without loose bedding, bumpers, pillows, or toys).
Consult Qualified Healthcare Providers: Always consult a certified pediatrician, healthcare provider, or lactation consultant for questions regarding baby's health, feeding, weight gain, symptoms of illness, or developmental milestones. If you suspect your baby is ill, dehydrated, lethargic, having difficulty breathing, or experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services (e.g. 911 or 112) immediately.
Limitation of Liability & Assumption of Risk: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the authors, developers, contributors, and operators of Orca Baby disclaim all warranties, express or implied. Under no circumstances shall the application developers or providers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages or adverse health outcomes resulting from the use of, or inability to use, this application or reliance on its estimates.
Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the information necessary to provide baby tracking functionality and multi-caregiver synchronization:
- Baby Profile: Baby's name, birth date, optional gender, and profile photo (stored in your private encrypted cloud storage).
- Activity Records: Timestamps and details for sleep, nursing, bottle feeding, diaper changes, pumping, tummy time, growth (height, weight, head circumference), medications, and temperatures logged by you or your invited family members.
- Account Information: Caregiver email address and secure authentication credentials.
- Device & Preferences: Language, unit system (metric/imperial), theme mode, and push notification tokens if enabled.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To log and calculate daily summaries, activity history, and visual trend charts.
- To compute personalized, age-appropriate wake window targets and nap estimations.
- To synchronize logged entries seamlessly across invited caregivers in your family account.
- To deliver push notifications you explicitly enable for nap reminders and timers.
3. Zero Data Monetization & Absolute Privacy
We NEVER sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your personal or infant data to advertisers, data brokers, third-party marketing networks, or external pharmaceutical/commercial entities. Your baby's data is never used to train public or commercial artificial intelligence models.
4. Data Security & Multi-Tenant Isolation
All data is transmitted securely using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS encryption. Data is isolated by family account tenant ID, ensuring only authenticated caregivers you explicitly invite have access to your baby's logs.
5. Data Ownership & Deletion Rights
You own all your logged information. You may permanently delete your family account and all associated child logs, photos, and historical data at any time from the Account & Family Sync settings tab. Account deletion permanently erases all associated data from the database.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)
Orca Baby is intended for use solely by parents, legal guardians, and authorized adult caregivers. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information directly from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK).
